Movie Reviews with halochief996: Seven Psychopaths

Hey whats up.  This blog is pretty late, I've been meaning to post this  on blogger. But lets just say I'm lazy/  Anyway let me be the first to tell you I did not see any newly released movies. But I didn't want to leave anybody in the dark, and I didn't want to have to make a blog 2 weeks later saying again I'M ALIVE!!!!!! So lets get on with this blog, shall we.  Note this blog is pretty late.

Seven Psychopaths

So this movie came out, but I was too busy watching Argo and Looper to see this one.   But anyway since this weekend was a little bit boring, a friend and I decided to go see this movie.  I mean the trailers really made me interested.  It really looked funny and hilarious in the trailer.

Plot: If you have seen the trailer, let me tell you, the story is more than about kidnapping dogs and making money.  Well that's just one part of it.  Colin Farrell is a struggling movie writer named Marty, trying to write this amazing story about seven psychopaths.   Anyway his best friend Billy (Sam Rockwell) is an actor and is also in the dog kidnapping business with his friend/associate, Hans (Christopher Walken).  Anyway one day they kidnap the dog of a mafia boss (Woody Harrelson).  And now they are being hunted by him.  As they escape death from the evil mafia boss, Marty is able to get inspiration and write his movie.  And as his story becomes more and more interesting, he learns a lot about his friends who are psychopaths.  The story is interesting.  Way different from what I thought the trailer was actually advertising.  Its more than just a dog kidnapping story.

Genre: Its a comedy film, however it didn't make me laugh as hard as I expected to.  I mean I had a few chuckles here and there, but overall I didn't laugh hard.  The film had a lot of crazy violent and absurd scenes that were trying to be funny.  And most of the really intense scenes are followed by quick one liners that will make you chuckle.  This brings me to another point.  This movie is filled with many one-liners, which is not a bad thing, but I wish there were more funnier scenes or jokes instead of quick-one liners that make you chuckle but not really give you a good laugh.  I mean almost everybody in the theater just chuckled.  The one scene where everybody really laughed was the eye for an eye makes the whole world blind joke which was shown in the trailer.

Overall: It was not a bad film, but it wasn't really an impressive film.  In a way this movie is funny, in that it makes fun of itself, by trying to be funny when really its not.  If you are looking for a film that will give you some chuckles, check this film out.  An OK comedy film.

Asian Star of the Week

You I know started Asian Star of the week a long time ago.  Mainly it was to generate views on my blog in Gametrailers.com.  But after a while it kind of became part of my blog series.  And who knows long will it stay (actually by the time I get a girlfriend/wife).  Oh well enjoy it while it lasts.  Please note if images are not showing up or are disappearing  I'm sorry I will try to fix it.   If anything just google the name or go to redflava.com.  That is where I get all my Asian star info.

Movie Reviews with halochief996: I'M ALIVE!!!!!!

OK for those of you that thought I was done, and gone.  You guessed wrong.  I'm back.  Yes the great halochief996 is back.  So you are probably asking yourself why am I back right now.  Well let me tell you, I've been busy with school and a lot of work.  On top of that, I have also been waiting for my website Gametrailers.com to bring back blogs, so I can start writing.  However they are taking their time fixing them, and so I guess I have to say that  I have to start blogging on Blogger and Wordpress.  As for GT, well when blogs come back, hopefully I can bring my blog up to speed on that website.  And also get those old blog posts I have in that website.  Yep six years of hard work, and still have not been brought back to the new GT website.

So here's the deal, I've seen many movies, just haven't had the time to write blogs about them because of school, work, video games, and partying.  So instead of making so many in depth reviews about movies that are probably not in theaters anymore, I will just give each movie a score, and one sentence about them.  Plus you may have noticed that a lot of pictures are not showing up for Asian Stars of the Week.  Well the problem is the website, Red Flava, where I get the pictures and info had a makeover, but don't worry Asian Stars of the Week will still keep on going.  As always I will still use Red Flava for information, but as far as pictures go, I will find them.  As for the old blog posts.  Just know I will fix them, and put pictures of all the hot Asian Stars of the Week.  Anyway enough talking here are some quick reviews of movies I've seen.

DAM GOOD MOVIE-10 out of 10

This is the part where Asian Stars of the Week usually shows up, but unfortunately I have not found one.  I was too busy trying to figure out what films I saw.  But just letting you know the flow of things will be back to normal.  As long as their is a good movie to watch, and as long as I'm not swamped with work.  Thank you to all who are still following and have supported me.  Hope you enjoyed this week's blog.  And I'll see you next time.
